I know I know :( I haven't down a SSR in a while :( Well not since I went on vacation neways... and I was just so tired and stressed when I got back and I had so many appts I had to catch up on and then Pride and stuff.. so that's why I haven't rly had a chance to do my reviews or nething for June. :(

On the bright side, I'm back and hopefully will be back to reviewing! I just find it rly hard lately to do some longer reviews cuz I haven't rly felt very passionate about nething I've read! :\ It's just like.. meh... weird Final Crisis stuff I dun care about.. :\ But now MANHUNTER'S BACK! And I do care about that, so hopefully that will spur me on! :D

Why AM I still reading Supergirl!? D: *sighs* I guess it's rly hard for me to let go of my favourite char :\ I spent half of Pride weekend wearing a Supergirl shirt after all! xD And I bought a Supergirl touque the other day too! :D It's the same type of thing she wore in the Infinite Holiday Special, except blue instead of red and it has the Supergirl symbol on it :DDD I wish it was red ;-;
My friend is having a party soon where ppl come dressed as their favourite fictional character and when I met her at Pride she invited me to it and then kept coughing and pointing at my shirt as a hint as to who I should come as. XDDD
I should prolly have my hair ttlly blonde for that.. >.>;; Tho mebbe instead of that Supergirl can add a little dark brown to her hair! :D That would look smexy! xD
Ok ok >.>;; I'll stop ranting about Supergirl! xD ONTO THE SSRs! :D
Batman - #678 - o_o;; WTFISGOINGON!? Srsly.. I was just like BWUH??? the whole time I was reading this. I have NO idea what is going on, and it just seems like things are happening at such a rapid fire pace with so many different things going on at once that it makes it even harder to follow. >.<;; And I was enjoying Batman RIP too :( Now it's just like BUH!? o.O;; 1/5 Angelwings
Blue Beetle - #28 - This is Pfieffer's second issue on BB and it's an improvement over the last one. :) He still doesn't have the characters down pat (esp Dani and Peacemaker) but the plot is very Beetle like (even if it has a glaring plot hole xD) and is very in tune with his previous adventures and personality and stuff :D So I mostly enjoyed it even if I thought ppl weren't rly acting like themselves :) And the ending rly made me smile, and that always helps! :D 3/5
Legion of Superheroes - #43 - There's SO MUCH GOING ON IN THIS BOOK!!! I srsly had trouble following, it seemed like whenever there was a scene switch it, time jumps ahead and different things are happening when we switch back >.>;; Also, the overall plot is kind of dragging and it's a pretty cliched plot too :( On the other hand, I still find the characters fun and colourful and I esp like Chameleon xD 2.5/5
Manhunter - #32 - YAY!!!! :D I actually haven't picked up #31 yet o_o But I liked this one lots! Also Jaime is in it and written fairly well! :D YAY! :] I was hoping for good things from this book and I wasn't dissapointed. The characterization is awesome, the plot and dialogue is intelligent and intriguing and the artwork is fantastic :) I'm so glad this book is back! :D It's exactly what I've been needing :] 4.5/5
Supergirl - #31 - This is the opposite of "too much is happening". And this isn't the first book in the current run that's been like this. >.>;; I felt like I had finished a 5 page issue or something. It seemed like NOTHING HAPPENED! And basically, nothing did. It was one long exposition >.>;; *sighs* At least Supergirl is KIND OF getting some sort of characterization and motivation now (even if they keep changing her past on Krypton from writer to writer) but.. this plot is just rly boring and more of the "Supergirl is doing weird and crazy things" thing that I'm just SICK OF. GIVE HER A DIRECTION ALRDY! GIVE HER A LIFE AND FRIENDS AND RECURRING CHARACTERS AND HER OWN STABLE SETTING TO STAR IN AND THEN LEAVE HER ALONE TO HAVE STORIES AND ADVENTURES WITHOUT INFINITE GUEST STARS FOR A WHILE!!! SRSLY I'LL WRITE SUPERGIRL FOR FREE (OR BUBBLE TEA (OR CATS) )!!! Ugh... >.<;; 1.5/5
Of course if I wrote Supergirl, she'd prolly have a pink alternate costume, a billion cats and bunnies, and be bi >.>;;;

And Kate + Jaime in the same book = lurve :] I hope they get to team up more. :D
So.. yus :D Hopefully I will have some longer reviews up soon! Maybe a Supergirl review since I can sum up the plot pretty fast! XDDD

Seriously, I'd write Supergirl for free, too. I can't figure out why the new guy doesn't just give her a damn supporting cast. It was obvious to me from the start that that was what she needed most. She can't be Superman and Batman's hanger-on forever.
It has its moments, but I don't know. I'm thinking of just giving up on waiting for the mainstream stuff to get better and veering off to the sidelines. Like, there are whole publishing companies I know nothing about.

Yeah, I think it's great Kate and Jaime are teaming up. They were pretty much the best things to come out of their respective Crises.
Well, the guy who's going to write Supergirl after Puckett says he's going to give her a supporting cast, which is cool.
And what was the glaring plot hole in Blue Beetle? I ain't good at spotting those. Was it that the old guy should be dead? Like seriously?

lea, i recommend veering off to the sidelines. there are a lot of good comics being published by folks other than the big 2.
pfiefer did a good job on blue beetle. i liked his run on catwoman until it got hijacked by countdown/salvation run. i wouldn't mind if he stayed on BB, as he's clearly got the tone down. anybody know where he's going next?
that ending was so apt for BB. jaime didn't pound the bad guy, he tried to understand the whole thing, and by the end, the bad guy wasn't a bad guy anymore.
To be honest, I like Manhunter far more this time around than before. I think Gaydos' art is really making it sing for me.
Second Printing mentioned that Lana Lang will be joining Supergirl's supporting cast when Gates takes over. Here's the blog entry on it -- they don't provide a link to where Gates said this, tho...

My favorite thing about the Legion plot is that the Ikonns and the Peril Men are named for the two moguls who were vying for Marvel in the 90s: Karl Icaan and Ron Perleman. (And seriously... the Peril Men is a freaking great name. It should be used for a Challengers of the Unknown type team...)
But most of all... SO GOOD TO SEE YOUR SSRs AGAIN!
