I'm glad I took a chance on this :D

I'm trying to write the review but I'm too tired and dizzy to... I keep fading in and out so I need go sleep now :(

Dun wurry I'm just kinda sleep deprived lately. :\

NEWAYS

I just wanted to quickly post and say that The Search of Ray Palmer: Superwoman/Batwoman was a rly fun and great issue that I enjoyed :] I liked that the "gender reversed" world was not much different than our own and that all the chars for the most part acted like "our" Earth's heroes (I thought that a couple seemed to have their personalities swapped, like Flash and Red Tornado, but that could have just been me xD) and I found that rly neat. XD It was also rly great to have strong, well written female heroes who wore iconic and full covering costumes that their male counterparts normally wear xD It was like somebody waved a comic I've been dreaming of in front of my face xDDD

There were many things I liked about it, but it just makes me wish we could see some of these characters in the regular DCU! :D I esp like Kylie Rayner and Aqua Woman :D Aqua Woman was awesome xD

I'm just so glad that they did it in a way that the genders were reversed but nothing changed. The heroes weren't "more girly" or nething. There seems to be some differences in the timeline tho since I never read the other books with Superwoman and Batwoman I dunno why this is xD

I think what was so great wasn't that women were the dominant heroes (or gender? I wasn't clear on if the social structure of that Earth was completely different) but that keeping the same personalities (and costumes) of all the male characters and just switching the genders worked SO WELL, there was nothing weird or glaring about it at all. At no point did I think "omg that's a guy talking!" and now I'm just like... awwww :( I miss seeing Superwoman standing strong as a silhouette with only the S showing, and I miss Kylie Rayner and just.. I miss them all. :( It's like my Ami-verse come to life for a brief moment xD

Neways, it was a rly fun book (made more fun by the fact that the challengers barely showed up and they tried to show as many gender swapped chars as possible :D ) and I greatly enjoyed it as a fun read :]

I just needed to say that before I collapsed xD

Good night! :]

I thought the art was badly funky, but I enjoyed the story as well.

I'm not sure what to think about Wonderman and the... Manazons. I would have thought that Wondy's doppelganger would be stunningly handsome in a Fabio sort of way, but apparently he's that shouting guy from 300.

I also liked Alexis Luthor and wish she'd stayed for more than 4 panels.

I luffed the fact that Alexis Luthor and Superwoman were friends xDDD I dunno why they are, but they are :D If it's supposed to be some statement of "women are more reasonable than men" the rest of the book didn't seem to imply it (tho the Manazons were the only ones attacking, but I'm assuming that female Joker is just as deadly :o )

I agree about Wonderman! But I guess the point is that he's supposed to be like.. the epitomy of manliness and opposite of what women are supposed to be (the fact that beauty standards are still the same with long hair for women and shaved legs makes me think that the world isn't about a reversed social structure)? So he has a beard and tons of body hair and stuff?

He SHOULD be stunningly handsome and not look like somebody's dad! xD

Well, Wonder Man looked handsome for an ancient Greek dude (sorta).

It was his costume that I disliked.

As I said in my blog post:

"I just gotta’ see earth 11’s version of Ambush Bug, Bizarro, and Swamp Thing. So does this mean the male version of Kate Kane is gay?"

Then we'd have a gay Batman, but with red trim on his costume.
